Foreign direct investments (FDI) reached USD 270 million in Georgia the first quarter of 2012, according to Nika Gilauri, Prime Minister of Georgia. As Gilauri noted, the above-mentioned indicator shows 60-65% growth compared to the last year’s first quarter results.

“Last year was a significant period for Georgia in terms of attracting FDI. However, during the first quarter of 2012 we already see further growth. Increased volume of FDI is directly linked with job creation and unemployment reduction,” declared Georgian PM during the meeting of the Georgian government on June 13.
