Three ethnic Georgians were beaten with batons and imprisoned for 8 hours in occupied Abkhazia, the head of the non-governmental organisation Women Refugees for Their Rights Nona Ubilava has stated. According to her, the inhabitants of the village of Okumi in the Gali district were captured while crossing the ceasefire line on the Khurcha-Nabakevi perimeter, physically assaulted, and released after paying 2000 Roubles. Ms. Ubilava has called upon the E.U. observer mission and the Ministry of Reintegration to respond to the incident, and for the five-way talks to be resumed in Chuburkhinji.
