Energy Sector Still Attractive for Investors

Will the energy sector be attractive to foreign investors under the new government? According to the official Sakstat data, the majority of direct foreign investment in 2012 was made in the energy sector. TV3 has sought to find out whether this trend will continue this year. The Deputy Energy Minister Marika Avalishvili has stated that the energy sector will remain the main area for foreign investment in 2013. According to her, every project within the sector that was started during previous years is still up and running. The expert on energy matters Liana Jervalidze confirms that the energy sector is no less attractive to investors today, than it was last in previous years.
