Minister of Finance of Georgia Nodar Khaduri met with Paul-Henri Forestier, Director of the Caucasus, Moldova and Belarus, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on November 21.

“It’s 20 years already that the EBRD works in Georgia. Lots of important projects have been implemented during these years, including energy, water supply and waste management. We’ll continue working in these directions. Projects discussed during the meeting also covered future initiatives,” declared the Minister of Finance of Georgia. “We spoke about the visit of Olivier Descamps, Managing Director, Turkey, Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia, in Georgia as well. During this upcoming visit significant steps must be made in order to implement all the infrastructure projects, which are important for our country.”

“The EBRD is working out a three-year strategy and, certainly, these plans should be agreed with the government. Managing Director will visit Georgia and will meet the Minister of Finance in the frame of the above-mentioned strategy issues,” stated Forestier.

Olivier Descamps will arrive in Georgia on November 25.
