Dimitri Shashkin, the former Minister of Corrections, Minister of Education and Minister of Defence, is ready to appear at the Prosecutor General’s Office, and to cooperate with the investigators. According to the former minister, he has not yet received an official writ, and therefore does not know when he might be questioned. He has described the allegations that senior members of the previous government were aware of the well-publicised abuses that took place in the Gldani prison as absurd.
