The ice cream manufacturers surveyed by TV3 regarding their sales figures have reported differing fortunes. The company Barambo has reported an increase in sales during the month of June compared to the same period last year. A prize draw and the addition of new fasting and children’s lines have been stated as reasons for success. The company is currently organising ice cream festivals in the province.
On the other hand, Gurjaani Ice Cream have stated that the season has been relatively unsuccessful for them so far, reporting a considerable drop in sales compared to the previous year. The company’s Director General Guram Berikashvili is unsure about the precise reasons for this, and says that the company will wait until the end of the season, before drawing conclusions.
