The Finance Ministry is to cover the legal fees of one of the businessmen who suffered under the previous government. The owner of the Albatross Group Davit Begiashvili has won the Supreme Court case against the Tax Services, and has been freed from having to pay a GEL 3 million tax bill.
Mr. Begiashvili has also taken legal action against the Ministry of the Economy, which is still in possession of the Albatross Group’s building on Chavchavadze Avenue. However, the businessman states that the ministry itself has asked the court for a review of the case, and could be willing to have the property returned to its rightful owner.
