David Kirvalidze Met with Estonian Parliamentary Delegation

(CNA)- David Kirvalidze, Minister of Agriculture of Georgia informed the parliamentary delegation from Estonia about the local agricultural environment.

According to the minister, agriculture development is priority for the government. Kirvalidze informed the guests about the government’s vision and major changes to be implemented for further development of the field. Kirvalidze stressed the ongoing projects: “54% of our population is engaged in agriculture. Our goal is to provide maximum support to these people so that they were able to meet elementary demands on their own.”

Estonian parliamentary delegation positively assessed the government’s spring program projects. According to them, projects like the assistance of small-land owners and preferential agro credits for Georgian farmers will change reality. “Estonia has a rich experience in agriculture development and we’re glad to share it with our Georgian colleagues,” declared the head of the Estonian delegation.
