Subway’s entrance in Georgia has already been followed by comments from already existing fast food retailers in the country. Tengiz Kapanadze, Director of McDonalds, told TV3 that the entrance of the new brand will cause them no inconvenience as McDonalds is the leader of the market for 15 years already. Another fast food brand that will soon open its first outlet in Georgia is Wendy’s. According to the agreement signed between Wissol Group and Wendy’s, the fast food brand will open 25 outlets in Georgia and Azerbaijan. As Rusudan Kbilashvili, PR Manager of Wissol Group, told TV 3, entrance of new brands is good for developing healthy competition on the market. Wendy’s will open its first outlet in Tbilisi in autumn.
