Companies will complete the process of signing contracts according to the new Labour Code by the end of the year. The Chairman of the Trade Unions Council Irakli Petriashvili has made a statement in this regard, in which he says that it is a priority at this stage to inform the public about the changes in the Code.

The head of the Business Association’s Employment Commission Lasha Akhaladze states that not all of the organisation’s demands have been addressed in the new Labour Code. As an example, Mr. Akhaladze considers the continued presence of indefinite contracts to be unacceptable, but says that passing a definite judgement on the new Code and its effects would be premature.
