Co-Investment Fund to Finance Projects in Tourist Sector

One of the priorities of the Co-Investment Fund will be the financing of the tourist sector. The Director of the fund has told TV3 that talks are underway with several large Georgian business groups with regards to the construction of hotel, and that each of the said companies is prepared to conduct investment in this direction.
Another project which the fund could devote its attention to is the development of Tskaltubo and maximising the use of its resources. Plans to develop Tskaltubo had first been raised by the President. However, according to reports, the co-Investment Fund will be working on different aspects. According to the head of the fund, a general plan for the development of the resort ought to be drawn up first, and afterwards it will be decided whether or not the fund will be financing the projects.
Besides the Co-Investment Fund, the Ministry of the Economy and the Georgian Investment Agency are also working on the plans to develop Tskaltubo.
