What changes have taken in the supermarket chains Populi and Ioli since the change in ownership? The Marketing Manager of Populi Lado Tsimakuridze has been speaking of considerable changes. Both chains are now under the same management, and will continue trading according to the same strategy. According to Mr. Tsimakuridze, they have a new financial backer in the shape of the large American investment fund SEAF, which has already invested a substantial amount. He adds that changes designed to improve customer service and product quality control are still ongoing, and that new branches will be opened in Tbilisi’s suburbs and in other Georgian regions in the future. TV3 will return to this subject later on.
