Chairman of Nadzaladevi-2008 Fellowship Accused of Fraud

Members of the Nadzaladevi-2008 fellowship are accusing its chairman of fraudulently appropriating property, and have appealed to law enforcement agencies to have justice restored. Members of the fellowship have staged a protest outside the Prosecutor General’s Office. They claim that a housing unit under construction was secretly mortgaged by the chairman, and hence purchased by the company Agis Georgia in an auction. According to the lawyer representing the fellowship members, the fraud scheme was designed by the head of Agis Georgia Revaz Kakhniauri. Twenty people have been defrauded – some of them had put money into the fellowship, while others put land plots into it.
