Last Thursday Carroll Shelby, arguably the father of the modern muscle car passed. Though he is no longer with us his impact on the auto industry and sports cars and even the performance after market will be going strong just like his engines.

Skoda Citigo Rally Car conept unveiled at the 31st Volkswagen GTI Meeting at Wörthersee

Skoda Citigo, the small car variant based onVolkswagen Up! will soon get a Rally variant to compete in motorsport, Skoda Auto revealed at the 31st Volkswagen GTI meeting at Worthersee. The exhibition area of 600 sq meters will see Skoda Citigo Rally and Skoda Citigo DJ Car as they make their premier appearance. Seven teams will be heading to Lake Worthersee, Austria for the main event.
This is the 31st such meeting ground for an event that has been held every year in May making auto companies bring in their special offerings …

Wind-Powered Car ‘Could Cut China’s Smog’

A Chinese farmer has invented a wind-powered electric car that he says could save his country from the pollution caused by its rapidly growing car market.
An hour from downtown Beijing, the dusty village of Banjiehe looks an unlikely place to produce scientific innovation.
Its rows of brick, utilitarian houses are surrounded by cornfields and fruit trees.
