Businessmen Demand more Clarity from the Prime Minister

The businessmen who had their properties confiscated under the previous government are demanding more clarity from Bidzina Ivanishvili. The Prime Minister has recently stated that paying full compensation to the affected individuals could jeopardise the country’s social development. Paata Salia, the attorney representing the businessman Kibar Khalvashi’s interests, has stated that Mr. Ivanishvili ought to be more specific about his position.
According to businessman Davit Begiashvili’s attorney Gagi Mosiashvili, it is unclear what the Prime Minister means by his statement about the prospects for the social development. The restoration of justice through the repayment of damages suffered by the businessmen would have a considerably more positive effect upon the country’s social development, the lawyer states.
The governing coalition has yet to respond to the Prime Minister’s statement regarding the businessmen in question.
