Some businesses are asking the government to take their views into consideration when making decisions on economic matters. In a statement, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has expressed its surprise that key business organisations are not represented among the group of experts which has been tasked to design the project on the economy by the Prime Minister. The head of the ICC has told TV3 that the Prime Minister’s choice to ignore the views and experience from the business circles is a mystery to him.
In response, a spokesman for the Finance Ministry’s council of experts has stated that the group which has been tasked with developing the project on the economy includes representatives from several business organisations.
