Bidzina Ivanishvili’s Meeting with the Head of the European Olympic Committee

Organisational issues regarding the 2015 Youth Olympics in Tbilisi, European Championships in weightlifting, projects for the development of Georgian sports and Olympic movement – these issues were discussed by Bidzina Ivanishvili at today’s meeting with the President of the European Olympic Committe Patrick Hickey. The meeting was also attended by EOC Executive Board member Guido de Bond and the Georgian Minister of Sport and Youth Levan Kipiani.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister emphasised that Georgia is a sporting country, as proven by its 35 Olympic champions. He also expressed the hope that Georgia will have an opportunity to host numerous European and World sporting events.
