(CNA)-On April 20, Tbilisi, Georgia, for the third time, became a very important part of the most prestigious international B-Boy championship Red Bull BC One. 16 B-Boys from Caucasus competed in the 1-on-1 battles at the Caucasus Cypher which was held at the Georgian Public Broadcaster building, Pavilion #3.

B-Boy Pioneer (Roba Leontiev) was the proud winner of Red Bull BC One Caucasus Cypher. He beat B-Boy Boocas in the final, watched by 600 fans, who came out to cheer on their heroes. Red Bull BC One 2012 Champion Mounir, Red Bull BC One All Star Ronnie and B-Boy Slav crowned the winner of the night.

“This was one of the best Red Bull BC One Cyphers I have ever been to,” says Ronnie, “The event was amazing, the venue was great, and the audience was really going. It was really hard for me in the final though. I really liked Boocas’ flow. It reminded me of the world finals in New York in 2009, when I was judging and Lilou and Cloud made it to the final. Cloud had this unbelievable freestyle ability, but Lilou seemed more complete, more prepared for a competition on this level. He had an arsenal of moves and sets. It felt the same here tonight. Pioneer just had more, he was more rounded, more prepared, and in the end, he also seemed to have more energy.”

Pioneer will now go to Kiev, where he will compete with the best B-Boys from Eastern Europe for a chance to show his skills, battling B-Boys from all over the world at the world finals in Seoul, South Korea.

“I have been preparing for this battle for a very long time. I was in the final in 2011 and 2012, but both times I lost to KillaJazz from Azerbaijan. I realized that I had to work harder, so I did. Practicing is everything! I am very happy that I will represent my country at the Eastern European Regional Final and will do my best to win there, too.”- said Pioneer.
