Members of the parliamentary opposition, Giorgi Ghviniashvili and Kakha Butskhrikidze, have been summoned for questioning at the Prosecutor’s Office today.
The United National Movement sees this move as political repression, but stresses that due to the significant public interest, Mr Ghviniashvili and Mr Butskhrikidze will answer all the questions put to them by the investigators.
Members of the Georgian Dream Coalition have ruled out political motives behind the questioning, and have stated that the investigation process will proceed in a fair and just manner.
