Her highly touted appearance on Saturday Night Live was met with more heckles than applause.

But that didn’t stop Lindsay Lohan from scoring huge ratings in her hosting gig for the popular NBC sketch show Saturday Night Live, which aired last night.

The 25-year-old actress, who has hosted the show multiple times, brought the show to the number one time slot last night, beating out all other shows on the major networks.

Additionally, Lindsay‘s episode is now counted as the second most watched SNL of the season, with NBA legend Charles Barkley taking the top spot for the show’s 37th season ratings win.

Last night Lohan blew off the initial negative reviews and celebrated her heavily panned hosting gig at an after-party with the rest of the SNL cast.

The platinum blonde, whose acting ability was called into question last night, stepped out in a trendy black and white ensemble and appeared oblivious to the criticism.
Wearing a frilly white dress with a black coat on top and white scarf, the 25-year-old was spotted leaving Kibo Japanese Grill in Manhattan early Sunday morning.
Pale make-up and heavy eye make-up completed the look, and the star seemed in good spirits.

In an effort to show her support, Lindsays’ mother Dina Lohan joined in the post-show celebrations.

SNL regular Kristen Wiig joined the party along with the show’s producer Lorne Michaels and musical guest Jack White.

While Lindsay’s performance was supposed to be a career comeback, instead it was met with largely scathing headlines.

By most accounts, the starlet appeared wooden on stage and she relied too heavily on cue cards.

As soon as the show started, Lindsay’s rambling performance became one of the hottest topics across the web.

‘Worst host of the year?’ Entertainment Weekly asked in a headline.
While Hitfix.com critic Ryan McGee wrote: ‘She looks scared to death out there.’
Meantime, The Los Angeles Times said the performance gave the impression that Lindsay’s ‘comeback train is stuck at the station.’

Many Twitter users were even more blunt. ‘This may be the first time Lindsay Lohan had trouble doing lines,’ cracked the Twitter user @drunkenough.
Despite all the criticism, Lindsay is said to think she did a ‘great job.’
Sources close to the actress told TMZ she ‘she feels proud of the episode.
