73 People got Intoxicated in Chlorine Leakage

73 people got intoxicated by chlorine leakage in the Lilo district, Tbilisi on July 3. Among them is Lasha Narimanidze, 18 who is still in coma. Intoxicated people were transferred to different hospitals, where they are being provided all the necessary treatment. The costs will be covered from the government’s funds. One of the injured is a pregnant woman.

Chlorine leaked from one of the containers in the private enterprise. The rescuers tried to move the damaged container to a more secure place, but the chlorine leaked during this process again. Fifteen brigades of rescuers, emergency ambulances and patrol police officers worked all night long.

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and Health Minister Zurab Tchiaberashvili visited the intoxicated people in hospitals.
