13th International Tourism Exposition “EXPO 2011” will be Held on April 14-16

Briefing with the participation of the Deputy Director of National Tourism Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Beka Jakeli, and Manager of
Expo Georgia Exposition Center, Nino Gamkrelidze, was held today. The parties spoke about the upcoming 13th International Tourism Exposition “EXPO 2011” which will be organized by
Expo Georgia and will be held on April 14-16. The exposition will be opened by Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Vera Kobalia, and Director of National Tourism Agency, Maia Sidamonidze.
Representatives of different countries, Georgian tour operators, and managers of hotels and various private companies will participate in the event. Georgian regions will be represented by individual stands.
The exposition will last for three days; various activities are planned: presentation by NTA, B2B meetings between the participants of info-tour and Georgian tour operators, training sessions for students, photo exhibition, exhibition/sale of Georgian souvenirs, “Innovations in Tourism” conference. 180 organizations including tourism companies and leisure complexes with diverse services, such as cultural, historical and wine tours and other adventure services will be represented by 55 exposition stands.
Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Vera Kobalia, will also host the Ministerial of “Suami” Countries with the participation of Ministers of Tourism of
Turkey and Belarus in frameworks of EXPO 2011. The guests will participate in the opening of the exposition and examine the stands; afterwards they will travel to “Marriott” Hotel to attend the Ministerial meeting together with Minister Kobalia and Director of National Tourism Agency, Maia Sidaminidze.
The guests will have the opportunity to taste Georgian wine and cheese, plan their own route to the most beautiful sights in Georgia, explore unique Georgian souvenirs, and enjoy Georgian music and shows. They could also win a tour for two to one of the Georgian resorts.
