February 16- A Georgian-Hungarian agreement on avoidance of double taxation was signed during the visit of a Georgian government delegation led by the country’s Prime Minister Nika Gilauri to Hungary. The agreement was signed by both countries’ finance ministers. The main target of the agreement signed by Dimitri Gvindadze, the Minister of Finance of Georgia and György Matolcsy, Minister for National Economy, is to further deepen economic relations between the countries.

Currently Georgia operates similar agreement on avoidance of double taxation with 36 countries.

Hungary is Georgia’s one of the major trade partners. In 2008-2011 the total turnover between the countries made USD 125 188 600.
